“Pleasures are like photographs. In the presence of the beloved, we only get a negative and develop it at home later when we have returned to that inner darkroom, the door of which is always closed to us as long as we are among others.”
Growing up makes you forget the important details; Of your life, of the people you live with, the ones who are close, your once cherished memories. Time is taken away from us way faster than when we were little adventurers, running in and out of our fortresses. You either remember what you once had in the past, or you bury them into the thick photo albums, letters and leave them be. Familiar faces, those same old places, the ordinary things in our everyday life puts us into a routine that it often leaves us overlooking what the whole thing is actually about. Time is short with what we have to live up to these days. But if you take a few minutes or even seconds, observe, think and see through your life, you might discover the details that you have not noticed or the ones you have forgotten before. It could bring a big difference to you in life and to how you see others. Take your time and appreciate them.
